Revision of Minimum Remuneration/Wages 2021 (2078)

The Government of Nepal, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has revised the minimum remuneration/wages of the employees other than those working in the tea estate under Section 106 Sub Section 3 of the Labor Act, 2017 (2074) by publishing a Nepal Gazette on May 03, 2021 (2078-01-20) (http://rajpatra.dop.gov.np/welcome/book/?ref=24497).

 

The revised Minimum remuneration/wages of the employees prescribed by the Government is as below:


Effective Date

The revised minimum remuneration/wages will be effective from July 16, 2021 (2078-04-01).

Note:

  1. In addition to the above minimum remuneration/wages, the employees are also entitled to provident fund, gratuity and other benefits under Labor Act, Contribution Based Social Security Act, 2018 (2075) and other prevailing laws of Nepal.

 

  1. None should enter into any employment agreement providing less remuneration than the minimum remuneration prescribed above.
